Since people are too stupid to know better on their own it needs to be illegal to own pit bulls if you have children under the age of 16 living with you.
Also automatic prison sentence if your pitbull is running loose in the neighborhood.

You're missing the point. There are valid reasons that thread did not gain traction. 1. It's rare for German shepards or labs to kill anyone. Everyone knows this. On the other hand fatal pit bull attacks account for well over half of all such attacks. 2. There are no militant lab or shepherd owners who blindly defend their decision to allow their huge dog unfettered accesses to children while ignoring the reality they've got a ticking time bomb on their hands. In fact, in quite certain that if either or both those breeds suddenly started attacking in numbers similar to Pitt bulls, these breeds drop drastically in popularity as was seen in the 80's with the once popular chow.
No, you're missing the point.
You're dishonest people, and Shepherds are well known to attack and kill humans. You are just so inundated with Pit headlines that you have become obsessed with it, and miss the bigger point in vicious dogs period. You also discount the fact that Pits, their variants, and mixes are one of, if not the top most common breeds in America when you combine their numbers, and so these numbers will naturally be higher. Pits are actually some of the most loving and loyal friends to humans, and when raised in loving homes are some of the sweetest dogs there are, but yes, they're dogs, not fluff bunnies. Now, other animals can be at risk around pits because they are very territorial, but humans, especially little kids are no more at risk with a well adjusted pit than they are with a well adjusted Rot, Shepherd, Dobbie, or other dog of the like. They are dogs, and it's less about the breed as it is the owner. Fact is, trashy people tend to gravitate to owning the breed because they think it says something about them and their toughness. That's less the breed's fault as it is the owners of the breed, or the trashy ones in particular.

Worried about a dog breed doing something vicious to a human? shite, how about this human being?

You are ignoring facts. Pits have a much more powerful bite than the dogs you mentioned and are therefore more dangerous because they can kill quicker and easier.

Your points always seem to change to conform to the argument you think will score points when the other argument isn't working.
Shepherds, Rottweilers, and Dobermans have more than enough bite to kill a human being, and have, like Pits, been at the point of controversy in the past with humans while pits were a footnote comparatively, and that revolved around the popularity of the breeds at the time.
Buster Brown Dog - Pit
RCA Dog - Part Pit
Little Rascals Dog Petey - Pit
Fact is, pits have not always been seen as and depicted as these vicious animals as they are seen as today by many people, or they would NEVER have been adopted by advertisers to represent their brands. In reality, they really are America's Dog Breed. They're iconic, but that just further illustrates the point that this revolves around the owners and popularity than the dog itself, a breed long associated with a kid's pet because of their loving and loyal nature to those kids. Reality is not a headline. It just takes people with rationality and not emotionalism to get it.

Really ......, sure cars kill people but I'm not going to let my kids play on traffic...
also I wouldn't give a kid a gun or let them swim unsupervised in a pool .......
Your post is stupid .......
Actually, I think you just showed it was not, but maybe you did not notice that.

Driving, swimming and guns have practical uses
Pits have no practical use
I can't understand why anyone would ever own one

The pitbull apologists just kill me. I know they can be loving and loyal pets but IF (not saying they will) snap, kids usually die. Is that not worth avoiding the risk altogether?
Here comes the all dogs kill kids arguments. Of course pitbulls get ink and other dogs don't.

So shitty lab owners just dont exist? They are all raised in loving homes?
Help me out here... Pit Bull owners are the ONLY dog owners that have a faction that are completely shitty? Is that correct? Because if its not the breed why arent there raging Labradors running around despite being the most popular breed in the country by far?

So owning a dog (or certain type of dog) makes you more of a man or something?

I agree that those things have that most dogs do not.
I agree that you do not understand.
The reasonable claims like yours and others are all perfectly fine. The ones advocating pseudogenocide of certaik canines and serendipitous homicide of certain humans are the ones that are being poked at.

Pit Bulls are awesome!!!! So there's collateral damage associated with owning them every now and then.....it's worth it!!!!!

Not at all, but using reason and all things considered rather than emotionalism does perhaps make you less of one.

RCA dog Nipper is a Fox Terrier
Pete is an American Staffordshire terrier (is this the official name of a pit)? Or is it american pit terrier?
