Honestly it's because the main poli board admin was so deep into Q it was hilarious. Even at the end he was still posting wwg1wga before deleting his posts. I really feel like that admin should not be an admin.

If this war costs is a Trillion dollars and ends with a weak Russia its worth it. Our $800B a year military budget was built for taking down Russia. frick Russia. Why should we allow them to get stronger when we can choke them out with NATO once and for all and only have China to worry about from now on?
Money well spent on this way without tons of American casualties.

And the same with the poliboard during the Trump administration. Admins pulled Trumps junk out of their mouths just long enough to ban anyone who questioned him.

The political board was awesome until after the 2016 election. There were discussions and debates that were mostly good with a few idiots spamming the threads but not enough to derail the threads. There were epic melts, endless opportunities to troll spidermantuba, and Rex's dog videos. It started going downhill in 2017 after McCain killed the ACA repeal because the Trump diehards started turning on anyone who questioned them. However, the wheels really started falling off the board during the 2019 La Governor race and completely fell off during covid. Piss poor moderation of the board allowed to go from a mostly right leaning discussion space to far-right shithole it is today.
I'll state it again. CHICKEN IF YOU WANT POLITICS OFF THE OT THEN FIX THE POLITICAL BOARD!!!!!

Legit question: How do you expect moderators to fix the poli-board? There are still quite a few lib and progressive posters over there, and I've seen few complaints from them regarding excessive moderation of one political ideology over another. Now I'll grant you that there's a lot of sophomoric name-calling over there that contains little to no substantive value. To me, though, this is more symptomatic of the culture that's been created by social media (or you could just head over to the Rant for further proof) as opposed to ineffective moderation.

So you're saying the poli-board would be "fixed" if certain types of speech were moderated away? Seems to me you could just express your disagreement to those things in those threads instead of waiting on the tigerdroppings powers that be to "fix" them away.
