Fuuuuuuuuuck. What makes you think from this story that you need to do that with your son?
And y'all say women overreact. Geesh.

Tinder was raped? I bet it was Twitter.

on the flip side, all she has to do is pick up the phone, claim rape, fabricate a story and have the guy arrested to defend himself while she hides

Because it's a crazy arse world, and getting crazier by the day it seems.
I agree that people should never assume the woman is lying in rape cases. People often question a woman's actions, when it's a very strange scary situation and actions do not even begin to tell the story a lot of the times. It does seem like there are cases of women falsely accusing men though as well. 10 years ago I never considered that could happen to me, now days who knows? 10 years from now yet again, who knows?

Guess innocent until proven guilty isn't a thing anymore

Every one of y'all should have a story if it happened this often.
A friend of mine was accused of being a rapist about 7 years ago. The girl was very religious and also very slutty. She made a bad choice one night and decided that calling the guy a rapist was better than being considered a hoe.

well most guys have been told "i'm late" with the premise they are pregnant...women love playing mind frick games and some will take it to the next level and try to ruin a guy.
I have been raped before...the police would have laughed me out of the station had i pressed charges against my gf. No means no. You know that women have all the power when it comes to this.

I'm not talking about this case in particular
But you have to admit that it is entirely too easy for women to falsely scream RAPE and they rarely face any consquences
and as a man, if I ever admit my suspicion of a rape claim, I'm all of a sudden a woman hating a-hole
You have to admit this is somewhat scary from a male's perspective.

has this ever been the case?

I agree...with no reasonable punishment for false accusations, where is the incentive not to possibly ruin someone's career and ultimately their life to get you out of the spotlight for making a poor decision?
On the other hand, any accusation of rape should be taken seriously, and the proper investigation should take place.
Where are Ice-T, Stabler and Benson when you need em?

So glad I am not in the dating scene anymore, and that when I was (back in "the day") you did not have this sort of shite.
well to be fair, if her account is true, they got to a point of making out and "going to the bedroom" and then he violated her terribly
tinder really has little to do with it. if her account is true, this is a case of rape/sexual assault, straight up

i 100% agree with this. my last comments are assuming her account is true
it's scary to be a guy these days. this is a major reason why i'm celibate for the current time

Have I been screaming that he's guilty? No. Y'all are ones convicting the girl before anything has been proven guilty against her!

the fact that there are so many false rape claims these days that we even question this accusation is why he thinks that
i don't know any guy who doesn't have a friend who has been falsely accused of rape or sexual assault. think about that for a sec

She is the accuser he is the accused. So he is innocent until proven guilty correct?

Therefore, you tend to view everyone accused as being guilty
Huh? I haven't seen her do this once. In fact, all I saw her do was defend against the majority of this board that sees the word rape and immediately says "FALSE ALLEGATIONS!"
It certainly happens, and I'd be all for an effort bringing awareness to these false allegations. I think the efforts for preventing rape could successfully join forces with efforts to bring awareness to false reports, and it would be AWESOME.
But I think it's disgusting that every time rape is brought up on this website, a large % of posters immediately claim the chick is lying. A chick that would lie about such a thing is an awful human being, nobody is disagreeing that.
I give the woman the benefit of the doubt at the beginning because they've [possibly] just been raped. This is a question of "trust first, be proven otherwise later" vs. "will not trust without being given a reason to trust".
I fall into the former category in all aspects of my life. Maybe I trust too easily
If the woman actually HAS been raped, it would be pretty shitty to ignore the state of mind she's in and refuse to have sympathy until you have proof. If she's lying, she's an awful human being. But you assume she's not lying because of the state she's in immediately after rape. There's a time and place, and the time of victim reporting is not the right time to start giving a shaken victim the 3rd degree.
