I had an instance way back in the day where I was accused of sexual harassment. I would've lost my job for nothing more than a silly gyrating dance to be funny. If I had not been able to produce a note Given to me by the woman the day before telling me how she wanted to have a million of my babies, my word would've been worthless and I would've been immediately fired.

And we aren't talking about the stupid shite that happens in offices here. That's a whoooole different ballgame where I'd probably agree with most of the men.

I refuse to protest for the rights of idiots who put themselves in a situation to get forcibly violated. Who invites some strange man to their house the first time they meet him?

It just seems absolutely absurd to me that in this day and age of awareness, there are still idiots out there that fall for these shenanigans.

Becomes a grey area because "innocent until proven guilty" can often translate to "liar until proven to be raped" for the victim.

How about we just say that we stay skeptical until more details come out.

Guy met her on Tinder and was invited to her place, then into her bedroom. I'm assuming consensual something was going to happen, but we don't know. As a man, I'm assuming they were going to bang.

Now dude is accused of rape. In this case, I have more reason to be skeptical than trusting of the victim.

In other instances I have trusted the victim immensely. The circumstances of the case are what cause people to react the way they do. A LOT of guys get the word "rape" thrown into their face, but you would never know because just as woman are scared to face their rapist, guys are scared to even bring up false accusations for fear of being taken as a rapist by other women.

I know because my friend that was accused of rape never told me about it until months later. He was scared that everyone would believe her.

Yeah it's a lot harder to believe them when they admit to as much as she did leading up to the actual act.
why? why? why? I don't care if she's the biggest tease known to man. If it got to a point where she wanted to stop, he has to stop.

it only comes up when the situation is a potential "iffy" situation, typically where things progress between the 2 parties to a point, and then there is a disagreement as to consent and what happened

there are clear cases of rape on this site that get the "tPOS" or "animal" or "death penalty should be available for these sick fricks" responses with the quickness

Exactly what I was saying, but you beat me to it SFP.

How do we fix it? Punish the woman who is falsely accusing the male as equally as he would be punished for committing the crime. See how many false accusations are popping up then

Dangerous. This would discourage a lot of legit rapes because it is usually his word against hers kind of thing.

Because there is a likely scenario where she is lying.

How is it unnecessary? It's the truth. I believe you carry some responsibility and assume the risk for actions you take. If I'm walking through Gardere at 2:30AM on a Saturday night and get robbed, who is to blame? Equally proportional.

you honestly don't see the difference in a guy pulling a girl into an alley and raping her and a guy/girl making out on a couch, going to the bedroom, having sex, and then she claims rape?

now, if her account is true, it was clearly rape. nobody is arguing otherwise

but the issue is that SO MANY of these scenarios are similar, where there was consent up to a point and then the girl, after the fact, claims she didn't consent. you don't see why that is a lot harder to believe (esp as a guy)? more importantly, you don't see how this creates a scary situation for a girl just saying " i didn't want it" after the fact while EVERY INDICATOR AT THE TIME said she was consenting?

If it got to a point where she wanted to stop, he has to stop.

these days a girl doesn't even have to say "no", so how the frick does a guy know they're at that point?

When did I say anything about automatically not believing her?

Now you are just being irrational. Clearly it's easier to be more skeptical about one situation compared to another.

She invited him to her room, made out with the intentions of getting fricked, got fricked and claims rape.

Sorry, this isn't sounding like rape

I disagree. It is known, dangerous situation. This is what is wrong with America. Lack of personal responsibility. Invite strangers to your home, hook up with them. It's okay. You're the victim.

If she was my daughter, it'd be pretty damn hard for me not to call her an idiot. I'd hope she would have more common sense.

I agree, and that what appears to have happen in this situation
