You don't need sympathy from anonymous posters but I'm sorry that that happened to you. Other than murder, to me rape is the worst crime out there. If it happened to me I damn sure wouldn't want ppl to know that it did. Being violated like that is just not something you want to be well known about one's self. I hope you can still live a somewhat carefree life. And hopefully that scumbag gets what's coming to him.

Maybe we are missing the sutble difference in allowing one's self to be a victim, and being forced to be the victim.
Bad analogy, but you get talked into attending a boring event with your SO. You don't want to be there, you resent them "making" you come, but in reality, you allowed it to happen. Now, if SO binds and gags you and throws you into the trunk of the car and forces you to the said event, then there is no consent (unless y'all are into that kind of stuff).
I think that kind of sums up the difference. Being "made" to do something is very different than being MADE to do something.

Well considering her story, which you all have agreed is rape, wouldn't be rape by the exact contrast she just made--which is being gagged and thrown in the trunk.
In her story, she did not fight back physically and did not say anything. She zoned out and disassociated from the situation (a common thing when discussing rape). The guy didn't grab her and throw her in the back. He told her to come here and then proceeded to come on to her. He didn't tie her down or choke her or hit her. He bent her over and had sex with her while she did nothing.
Are you saying that she was not raped? Are you saying that what she just described (but you get talked into attending a boring event with your SO. You don't want to be there, you resent them "making" you come, but in reality, you allowed it to happen) is THAT much different from what happened to her other than the fact that it wasn't a SO?
