oh lord
so that's the definition of rape now?
I never said she wasn't raped. keep putting words in my mouth.
you really can't tell this difference? a random guy takes her to the other room and fricks her without her even hinting that she wanted it. they weren't talking, flirting, kissing, etc, he just took what he wanted.
a guy and his girlfriend cuddled up on the bed with him pestering her until she just opens up and let's him frick her is not the same. it isn't rape.
if you're really going to be this dense, I don't know what to say.

wouldn't be rape by the exact contrast she just made--which is being gagged and thrown in the trunk

Are you saying that what she just described (but you get talked into attending a boring event with your SO. You don't want to be there, you resent them "making" you come, but in reality, you allowed it to happen) is THAT much different from what happened to her other than the fact that it wasn't a SO?

Oh gosh, kill me. I am so sick of hearing about that load of crap.
I work with middle aged women who cannot BELIEVE I don't like it. They think I must be a prude young woman because I think it's trash.

Any guy that pressures a girl to do anything is a douchebag.

I really don't want to see a turtleneck in the news bro

it does show a large (hidden?) female proclivity towards domination in sex. it's like the flash bulb went off across the country for a few months when that shite became popular

women pressure men into doing shite all the time as well

Oh puhlease. Cause those beta males everyone loves to label just always win caring about feelings.
I blame this whole rape thing on society, women themselves and half the people in this thread.

not to sound #rapey, but the whole "keep trying trying, and trying again to at least give me attention" is pretty common
do i participate? no
am i seen as a weirdo b/c of this? yes
Posted on 7/30/14 at 6:06 pm to Brageous
yea but only men can be the big bad bullies
Posted on 7/30/14 at 6:06 pm to TH03
Could be. Depends on the details. Did he hold her down at all? Did he threaten her in any way?

She should have swiped left

I just avoid the whole thing because apparently the line of chivalry, douchebag and rapist constantly shift depending on whose defining the term.
Look at the whole confusion in this thread. Persistence is considered by some chivalry. Wink thinks they're a douchebag/stalker. LL think's they're a rapist.

The fricking couple was one hypothetical. Jesus. I knew I should have made it about a coworker or friend that you know and like who did the same thing minus the cuddling.
The point was not what you're pulling out of my posts. The point was that women are forced into sex without screaming bloody murder and beating the man.. because sometimes they like him, sometimes they know him, sometimes they're afraid of the drama it would cause.. or maybe they're just afraid of being called a dramatic bitch on her period because she flipped out when he claims he would have stopped after a simply "no thanks"...especially if she has been flirty or something.
For some men, it's not as simple as saying "no" in a normal tone. And it's even less believable if you've been flirting or have a relationship beyond being strangers. For SOME men, It takes the whole theatrics of kicking them off of you and freaking out.. like a lot of you are saying you'd do. And a LOT of women don't want to go there. Don't want to be dramatic. Whatever the case.
Liz already explained this, and I thought YOU wouldn't be so dense as to not realize that my hypothetical was one of the many ones contrasting a violent stranger hurting you physically vs. someone you know pushing the issue when you've already expressed a lack of desire.

Did I fricking say they didn't?

43% of boys say they were pressured into sex
quote:
A total of 43 percent of high school boys and young college men reported they had an unwanted sexual experience and of those, 95 percent said a female acquaintance was the aggressor, according to a study published online in the APA journal Psychology of Men and Masculinity®.
“Sexual victimization continues to be a pervasive problem in the United States, but the victimization of men is rarely explored,” said lead author Bryana H. French, PhD, of the University of Missouri. “Our findings can help lead to better prevention by identifying the various types of coercion that men face and by acknowledging women as perpetrators against men.”

oh okay, let's move the goalposts now since the original hypothetical wasn't rape.
