There would only be a few people that got anything.

People that get 2 million each

Each of my kids

People that get 1 million each.

Brother and his wife, both of my SIL's, FIL/MIL

everybody else can kick rocks.

Why not? Your odds still increase. It's only $100.

I don't care how you spend your money -- I'm just wondering why people expect to win. They obviously just get caught up fantasizing about their new lottery life full of hookers and blow and get pissed when they only end up matching 1 number

I don't like people. I'd keep it for myself and my family. Might payoff a debt if I like you, but that's it. Not actually going to gift any of it.

I am hoping that giving them 2 mil will keep them from plotting my early death.

I would sound like this fellow from Lost that won.

4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42. 4,8, 15,16,23, 42...

A few weeks. Long enough to talk to the advisors and get a plan together. Also set up new phones, computers, temp housing, etc. in prep for the craziness.

Its hilarious to me that all these people start buying tickets when it hits 500+ million.

Like the 40-400 million dollar prize wasn't enough.

The increase in odds from buying one ticket to 100 tickets is negligible.

Why do people expect to win when buying more than a couple tickets?

Powerball increased the odds to nearly 1 in 300 million( 292 to be exact).

To even have a 1% chance at winning you would need to buy nearly 3 million tickets.

1 , 100 or 1000 tickets is infinitesimal.

Absurd odds at $2 ,but we are greedy / suckers .

They may as well randomly pick 1 Social Security number out of 300 million plus citizens.

Odds are similar!iar.

My question is.... why not pick 800 $1 million numbers? That way 800 people can be a winner

1 ticket is 1 in 292 million right?

So 2 tickets is 1 in 146 million right?

So 100 tickets is 2.92 million right?

I feel like that's a pretty big jump

The people pay for the tickets which funds the lottery (and gives massive tax revenue).
