First response in the thread is from an LSU fan talking about Saban.
I would expect this on the Rant, but on the OT = Obsessed.

We are either hit by, or discover that we are going to be hit by an asteroid.

Whenever that Malaysian Airlines plane flies out of that hangar in Pakistan. Whatever it does will be pretty big.

Nah, just something fairly meaningless, along the lines of Michael Jackson death, so that's what made me think of it.
Actually, AIDS and Magic were both pretty big deals back then. Imagine LeBron catching Ebola a few weeks back.

Apparently North Korea was going to fly it into the premier of The Interview until it was cancelled.

I can only hope this is it:
When mankind steps foot on Mars.
But I'm an optimist and will not focus on things that divide us, but things that will positively unite us as a species.

Talked to a pilot for Southwest Airlines a few weeks back. He was previously in the military. That guy was 100% convinced that plane is on an island somewhere. It was surprising to hear. Very sharp, intelligent guy too. It was interesting.

Yeah, and the fact that you felt the need to comment on it in an unrelated OT thread shows that you are equally as obsessed. See how that cuts both ways?

This is inevitable. Our economy is based on counterfeit money, essentially. It's a big shell game waiting to completely crash.
There seems to be a crash every seven years.
2008, obviously.
2001, 9/11 played hell on stocks.
1994, a really bad bond market.
1987, black Tuesday.
And so on.
7 years from 2008 would be next year, if the cycles hold up.
