I like Trump, but he said he'd end it before he was in office, then within 24 hours of being in office and was something he ran on. People believe anything he says no matter how ridiculous it is.
Hopefully he gets it done and it's over though, he'll deserve a lot of credit. Though I think a good bit of Ukraine really doesn't want to take that deal.

I really should have learned my lesson by now when I see these kinds of thread titles. Instead, I did what I always have...

That comment was made under the assumption that Ukraine and Zelensky would negotiate in good faith, which they haven't. Their main goal was not to end the war, it was to get international clout, get brought into NATO, and build their country (and personal pocketbooks) off American taxpayer dollars.

Ukraine should never end the war by giving up any land. Doing so just means another war is going to take place.

Ukraine has been the one torpedoing these talks over and over
. There hasn't been some deal that Ukraine agreed to that Russia violated. Ukraine has had hard stops they refused to budge on.
