When Bama was irrelevant. Those were happier days. A new team won every year. It was all the rage.

Not being responsible for a damn thing. Having most of my time to do whatever I wanted.

My father abandoning us when I was 7.
Living with my grandparents for four years afterward and watching my grandfather die of cancer.
Moving from place to place, school to school constantly until my junior year of high school.
Jeezus.
Way to make me feel guilty about enjoying my youth doing the following:
1. staying up all night in the Summer watching movies or playing video games.
2. Building clubhouses in the Woods down the street. Plantation Ridge neighborhood is there now Gmaps of Woods Locatoin.
3. Riding our bikes on some adventures. We'd go on some major adventures for a 13-14 yr old. One we often enjoyed was to ride all the way to downtown BR via Burbank, Nicholson. Back then, Frosttop or that Chevron station on Govt was the only place around there to get a drink and snack like fries or chips. Miss those days.

I miss having a home cooked meal at least 4 times a week and the things my mom use to cook..

My dad..
Just kidding. He's still alive.
I miss spending all my time out in the woods building camps, shooting shite and just the general freedom.

I miss playing outside with my brothers and my cousins until our parents threatened us to get us to come inside.

I got picked on by friends in college b/c I lived at home.
I enjoyed home cooked meals and laundry service for all 6 yrs at LSU.
Hell I was so spoiled my mom even made me lunches on days I had full load of classes.

I'm a HUGE videogame buff, and today's games are incredible and the graphics are just wow, but honestly I miss the simple fun of my Atari 2600 . I mean I actually still have it, and have hooked it up on occasion, but it isn't the same thing, just the amazement of video games even existing back then is what I really miss.
From my high school years, I miss the Carter twins. There was not ANYTHING those two girls wouldn't do, and the more likely it was to piss off their dad if he found out, the more into it they were. Both are in prison now, where they belong for a fact.

I was raised in a rural setting. Connecting and that "smell" of being in the woods. I can't duplicate it in the city.

I still have my 2600 and 5200. Santa brought both of them. When I saw the 2600 under the tree, I remember asking my parents “what’s this thing”? About 12 hours and a couple of blisters later, I was hooked. I haven’t played video games since college. Just not the same.

My dad started to get really sick during my sophomore year of HS and that's when it stopped. When all of a sudden, your parents are in and out of the hospital for weeks, sometimes months at a time and you have to take care of those things yourself, you quickly appreciate what you had when you did.
You went to the union to warm up your food?
