Hey, the Republicans wrote that playbook while Obama was in office.

She was a cute spinner when young. She lived long enough to be gnarled up, but she spent a long time as an attractive woman.

McConnell refused to do this in 2016, and he's now removed the 60 vote requirement to shoehorn in the people that he wants.

Did somebody leave the gate to the poliboard open?

You’re extremely confident for someone that doesn’t know wtf they’re talking about.

Harry Reid invoked the nuclear option in 2013 to shoehorn Obama nominees into lower courts. He specifically left an exception for the Supreme Court.
McConnell removed that exception to shoehorn Gorsuch in, after blocking Obama's nominee for several months.
What about that is not true?

You're factually incorrect. It's no big deal, but stop acting above being a brainless lib that's just parroting the talking point du jour. He started the game of only needing a simple majority to get appointees through. This was the natural outcome of that decision. Any moron could have seen it coming. he made your bed. Sleep in it.

I'm still waiting for someone to explain to me what exactly is incorrect about what I stated. Google is your friend.

There was no exception and not since 1888 has a senate controlled by the opposing party of the president confirmed a nomination. McConnell, referencing the Joe Biden rule, rightly followed standard protocol.
The republicans now have both.
Elections have consequences seems appropriate here.

And when Reid did that, he left the door open for the Reps to remove that exception. McConnell even warned Reid that he would regret that move.

You say to shoehorn Gorsuch in, yet they played the game according to Reid's precedent.
Reid played HIS game. Now McConnell and the Reps are playing that same game and you are crying about it. Deal with it.

You don't get to just say we'll use it here, but not here. Once you get rid of the filibuster, this is the natural result. The precedent is set. Reid made the bed, libs get to sleep in it today.

Exactly. Reid was warned about the “nuclear option” and what the consequence would be when the pendulum swings, as it always did but he was too dumb to realize it.
The dems truly thought Hillary had zero chance at losing and it has cost them dearly.

You acknowledge y'all changed the rules and are surprised when the rules were changed more.
Yall started the rule changing. This is the consequence for that. Enjoy it
