It's funny how far this country has come in a relatively short time. We went from fighting to keep slaves and a way of life that worked for its time and place to today's world where we let the blacks run completely wild doing whatever they want and giving them most anything they want, not making the work for most of it. This is not a blanket statement about blacks, but applies to a large majority of them. New Orleans is a great example of this. The blacks have single handily destroyed the city with crime, poverty etc, but we keep giving them what they want. When will someone in the black community stand up and hold them accountable for what they are doing. If left unchecked they will destroy large areas of this country primarily the south in less than 100 years.

If you watched even three minutes of Beauregard, you'd know that not a single person on site has rigging experience. Their plan to lift it was just, "Get crane, get people, get straps, tie straps, lift". People without any knowledge of rigging were doing it

My guess is that they know it's been "arranged" already.

Are they going to take down all the overhead lines for the streetcars to get the crane in there? If so, there might be a death before they even make it to the statue.

I can't promise you someone is running that crane with experience, but I don't know many, if any, crane operators that aren't expert riggers.

It's like they're trying to intentionally frick as many people as possible. They need to be careful because when the people frick back, it often gets painful.

there is a very large section within the OSHA guidelines which entails what must be done in order to perform an aerial lift, and from watching the Beauregard statue come down, not one person was competent in order to complete the task at hand. Also I am sure that the crane operator was not qualified on the piece of equipment that he is running much less licensed by the NCCCO, but you can browse the OSHA website and find out all the information which is being disregarded while performing this.

Seriously?

You need to do a lift analysis of the rigging, wire size, the crane capacity, what outriggers are there, possible cribbing to not sink into the soil/crack concrete, not to mention get a survey of the area and find a place to put the crane.

At least up here all crane lifts are required to be stamped by a PE to make sure they don't tip over, wires snap, etc.

You should ask me what I do for a living.

Watching JD and PGTB come down was painful and embarrassing. They're lucky no one was injured.
