I can't wait for the freakout when people realize that Mitch closed one of the busiest areas in NOLA on a weekday so he could time this for his party.

And then mitch said he's going to spend 15 million on the new water fountain and proceeded to make fun of anyone who thought we should use that money or resources to fix infrastructure problems.

This is what got me. The utter arrogance of that microdick.

Those are good reasons to leave, and I don't blame you. Much more than some statues line.

Obviously. You wouldn't be touting the shite you are if you did. The treatment of workers on sugar and banana plantations on the islands or I'm south America were absolutely deplorable. They were the concentration camps of the Era. You didn't go to one and come out alive. They worked you. Til you died. That wAs it. The money you "made" went right back to your employers for "housing" and food and all that.

No accumulation of wealth. No free movement. And worse conditions than they had during slavery.

But hey! They were "free"!

I feel terrible for all of the workers down there who took off of work today. What a waste of a vacation day.

Did y'all miss the guy going up the spiral staircase? Bolt is out

must have been a big damn bolt to hold down 4 tons. Was that grade 8 or grade 5. What was the torque value, and how much PB Blaster did you have to use.

People try to equate allowing a statue to stand of a foreign general that took up arms, against the US, in a losing effort.

Is that what you think happened?

He didn't take up arms against the US.

He was chosen by the confederacy to defend them when Lincoln attacked it.

Learn history.

Is savarino the crane company? Having dealt with them I can assure you they are a complete clusterfrick.

Hammertime said it was Savarino last night, and that they were "white trash." He then drank all night and posted some ugly remarks and threats to two other posters earlier this morning. His comments were deleted. He'll probably wake up sometime this afternoon to find out he's been banned, so I'm not sure he'll be able to provide you with any additional information.

For some reason I thought he had the option to fight for the winning side before he turned his back on them and sided with Virginia.
