Also makes Norman look like more of a bitch for throwing a temper tantrum this morning.
Telling the truth = temper tantrum

Normand is extremely unprofessional. Nothing like going before the media and continually losing composure.
When this all settles I wouldn't be surprised to see him without a job.

Pete, that's the first time I think I've ever agreed with anything you've ever posted.

I used to think this, but Clay Higgins is probably going to in a congressional spot, so...

In regards to where the gun was when McKnight was shot, yes. In the Smith case, literally everyone from jump knew Smith had a gun because multiple witnesses said Smith said he did.
His stepfather's gun was in his stepfather's car. The sheriff already said that the shooter did not mention a gun nor even know of its existence. So it looks like the gun argument is out of play.

Maybe I should reconsider my position on it then. J/K.
It was cringeworthy watching his press conferences, better off just giving the facts and letting the legal process take its course.

I'm not sure who's worst. Our politicians are such embarrassments.

He can't. He's a bitch. He lets his emotions get the best of him. Very unprofessional. You'll never see any of sherriff in this nation be so dramatic.
This will hit mainstream media in a day or so, he's going to get blasted.

I think manslaughter is an appropriate charge.
Stand your ground would apply if Gasser was minding his own business, accidently cut McKnight off, didn't escalate the situation and got scared when McKnight boxed him in and approached him.
You can't spend several miles yelling at someone and driving erratically and then shoot them when they walk up to you. If you really feared for you life you wouldn't carry on like a fool in the first place.
I've had several road rage incidents in my life where people got out of their vehicles. All were when I was younger and acting aggressive myself. Now I'm 35, married, and have a little girl. If I cut someone off by accident I give the hand wave that it was an accident and go on with my life. Wish there two could have done the same because now one is dead and one is looking at jail time.

Yeah he's already getting roundly mocked on twitter.
Looking unprofessional only furthers the original argument that his office mishandled the case initially. If he had projected a calm and in control face to it that would have helped his cause a lot more.

Normand also looked like he had lost control of teh whole situation when in the initial presser he said he wasn't going to talk about details then went into a bunch of details.
I'm sure it will make jury selection fun since it's going to be hard to find anyone that didn't read about or watch his press conferences.
Probably going to a plea deal though. Juries are unpredictable as it is and it's not the strongest case in the world. I think both sides have more to lose by taking it to a trial than just settling it.

God dammit. Stop it. It's like we are the same person.

He was on TMZ's front page today. It's a matter of time before his little tirade is all over the place. He had a chance to be a professional and really make a name for himself on a national level. Well, mission accomplished for all the wrong reasons.

Newell can't help himself when he gets a chance to talk down to black people.

It's also blood in the water for trolls. Getting a reaction like that is like hitting the lottery for the agitators online.
I'd hate to the the receptionist at JP sherrifs office right about now.

Actually that goes over well here. Harry Lee is famous for saying "We are going to keep pulling over blacks who drive rinky dink cars in nice neighborhoods, because they are up to no good"
People thought that would hurt him, it made him even more popular. Especially when his early form of 'stop and frisk' actually reduced crime. Though it did make it rougher for black people.
Newell actually does what the people want, I think he is good at his job, but again his views on decriminalization make me believe Jefferson will be the last place that goes legal.

Newell is actually much smarter than he appeared today. He's pompous and arrogant, sure, but between the first conference and today he brought all of this on himself. It's probably in his best interest to stay away from the cameras for a little bit.
