You think the shitshow experience of being in an Apple Store is good?

Which is funny because I was in the Acadiana Mall the week it opened.

Times change.

Sadly.

Turn the space into a bigger and badder Coyote Blues, complete with Drive Inn Dining. Put a car wash in it as well, so that can be taken care of while you dine. Put gas pumps and window tinting.

I think big.

They should have been downsizing to appliance and tools in a much smaller store for years.

They tore down the urban mall here and replaced it with an outlet mall a little over a year ago and business is booming. It's a good mix of national outlet stores and local vendors.

Yea it was KB toy store. The knife store had the Rambo knives. I was mesmerized looking at those in the 80's.

I also remember there was a bar where the theatre eventually was. I remember walking in the mall as a kid and there was a fight going on in the bar and I was scared as shite.

That store was great but I don't remember the name ? There was also one in the Le Promenade Mall (Johnston b/t Roselawn and Woodvale) that was called Asia Minor. The better toy store was called Toys by Roy. And yes, the corn dog place had the 'corn cheese', a block of cheese on a stick and covered with corn dog batter and fried, it was great. There was even a dental office in the mall that was popular in the early 80's. Good times !

I remember toys by Roy which was by the main entrance I believe. KB was by the puppet show I think. There was no cheap jewelry kiosk, that I know. There was also a toy store called its a small word, I think.

There was also a TGIF at one point at the main entrance. I went eat there with my parents one time and had a hot waitress. That night I was fricking around at buckshots on the strip and she walks up to me. She said, "did I serve you today at TGIF?" I said I was there but not sure if you served me, which was a lie because I knew it was her. She said, lets go to the keg......we had relations that night. CSB.

I worked there one summer back in college around '02 in the tool Dept.

Was a shitty and depressing place then

Hopefully they have some good sales coming up on tools

That sucks. I went to Lids earlier today to get a new LSU hat and some Chic-fil-A.

I have some really great memories of that mall, but yeah. Mall corporations are projected to be the next big short. You just can't compete with Amazon and Wal Mart, especially the former. shite, the only reason I go to clothing stores now is to try things on. Afterwards, I go online and find the same style and size for much cheaper.

Honestly, when Aladdin's Castle/Tilt finally closed, it was no longer "the mall" to me. I still remember going to Kershenstein's, and seeing Empire at the old theater.
