If these fell in Lafreniere Park, the one on the right is precisely golf ball-sized hail.

And on the last day God said to South Louisiana, "Mind if I play through?"

Bonnabel =/= Lakeview. I'm at my house

Power flickered for a few minutes, and supposedly is out on Homestead, but I'm sitting in the AC watching Silicon Valley right now

Wind was gusting probably up to 40 a couple of times

Eta: Sunny and calm now

Did it chip your windshield?

It was reported that some residents' homes had roof damage, I heard somebody got a hole in one.

That shite was cray on I-10. I took cover under the overpass at the Bonnabel exit. When I heard that first big piece of hail hit I started looking for an exit strategy.

Once again the local weather people are making a big deal out of a rain storm. Ever since Katrina once a big weather event happens they devote the entire newscast to this minor summer time rain storm.

To be fair, the rotation over New Orleans was pretty rare, so that prompted them to devote more coverage to it as it doesn't take long for a tornado to produce. Either way I'd rather my local station devote coverage to severe weather that can affect me, rather than the latest "thug shoots another thug" or "corrupt politician" of the day.

He/it obviously wasn't in that storm or they wouldn't say that. It was a awesome storm that deserves the coverage.
