I see something strong on radar heading toward White Castle
That one is tracking towards Gonzales. Added to the list.
as of right now:
quote:
- It looks like like a strong line of cells over Rayne, Louisiana moving East-North East into Carencro, Lafayette, and Sunset. That will eventually impact New Roads and St. Francisville north of Baton Rouge. It appears to be getting stronger too. No Tornado Warning yet, but if you live in that area, you want to watch that one.
- A Strong cell is over Donaldsonville now that will eventually cross into eastern Ascension Parish. No tornado warning for that but watch it carefully. Appears to be tracking towards Gonzales, Louisiana and the Ascension Parish suburbs of Baton Rouge.
- A tornado-warned cell with a confirmed Tornado is just NW of Livingston (the town) and is heading NE towards Montpelier, Amite City, and Kentwood. Time to take cover now if you are along I-55 north of Hammond. Looks like it's a rain wrapped tornado that's hard to spot.

Anyone have a link or app where I can find the wind/rotation of thunderstorms. At the risk of sounding like a fool, I'm talking about those maps that have the red/green that mix when there is a tornado.
LINK
You want storm relative velocity over on the left side.
EDIT: Base velocity as well might show you something.

My assistant lives all the way in Lafourche. I'm debating on telling her to stay somewhere the night in NOLA or to drive home now.

I'm thinking that Livingston tornado will get choked out by the rain to the south as time goes on.
