It's been hitting River Ridge for about 10 minutes now.
Mainly rain but the lightning has picked up in the past 5 minutes.
Had a brief power flicker that turned off the tv and cable but my power backup kept the modem working.

Except we get a serious hurricane threat like a couple times a decade, people further north get this crap like 5 times a year.

Rain seems to have stopped in River Ridge. Still hearing plenty of thunder.
The brief power outage might have taken out the Contour box though.

Cov.
About the same here. It was probably blowing 20-25. I doubt if it was much higher than that. Now its just pouring rain.
I'm always waiting for a fricking pine tree to hit the house or the powerline during these events.

I'm in River Ridge and in trying to fix the issue, I saw this on my Cox account page:
quote:
We've noticed a temporary outage related to your TV service in your area and we're working to fix the problem. Estimated Time to Repair: 1:33 PM
But our television has come back on already. Maybe you're having the same issue?
I was fine with waiting; I just didn't want to have to change out the Contour box.

We got 6” of snow overnight and are supposed to get a foot and a half more by tomorrow night.
That sounds miserable.

Here’s a short video of the damage in Monticello, AR. About half way through the video, look where a vehicle ended up at.

Just a quick up date from NWA... Yesterday we had strong winds, heavy rain, lightning, and tornadoes. Currently it's 30 degrees and sleeting.

Didn't see this line slowing down and all but stalling at/near the MS/AL state line. It is dumping rain on the Shoals right now.
