It's difficult to say. The man was brandishing a weapon and was said to be part of the altercation by numerous eyewitnesses.
I don't know if he was trying to break up the fight or not, but that no longer matters. Hopefully the truth can be found and closure can be brought to the family.

I've never seen anybody that posts on FB with themselves holding handguns and shooting birds in their photos as a quality individual.
