If people realized just how many things had to fall together so perfectly to allow life to flourish on our planet it would blow their minds. From the moon, to Jupiter, to us being the exact correct distance from he sun with the exact right amount of tilt on our axis. Then there's having the exact right elements in the exact right amounts. And don't forget the iron core we have that makes our magnetic field possible. And all of this is just what I can think of off the top of my head. There are so many other factors that had to come together precisely or life on this planet would have never happened.

It's not that amazing when you realize someone planned it that way

The superstorm has been shrinking, I think it's at its smallest size since we've been observing it.

If Jupiter were to get super dense, it'd turn into a star.

Speak for yourself, I haven't been observing it long, I can't tell if it's shrunk much or not TBH.

When did we become a moon of Jupiter? Seems like I'd be able to see it when I'm outside

Ummm, you can see it with your naked eye.

God is still angry about your masturbation, though.

Why do you keep saying this stupid crap over and over again??
The Bible does not discuss masturbation at all. The Bible doesn't condemn or condone it.

I know you are trying to please Satan but maybe get some new material that does not make you sound so ignorant all the time.

Link to the first time I said it? You're a sensitive one, I understand, but it's a joke about the universe meme. Calm yourself.

No, just impure thought and other things you do while naked. Maybe I should have said "But god still cares what you do while naked". No less goofy.

I know you are trying to please Satan

Satan doesn't exist.

Your joke is completely false. The Bible does not pronounce masturbation as a sin.

quote:

No, just impure thought and other things you do while naked

What does being naked have to do with anything? You did a little better here but not by much. Having impure thoughts are sinful. Impure thoughts are impure thoughts even if you have your base layer and winter coat on. Being naked has nothing to do with it. There are thousands and thousands of impure thoughts an individual could have.

But you are being very specific on your joke and saying masturbation is a sin which it is not because the Bible does not discuss it at all.

quote:

Satan doesn't exist.

He does exist. I see his strength in you. You do his work for him. Look into the mirror really hard. You will see him staring back at you. But even if you don't it is ok with him...as long as he continues to control you he would care less if you believe in him or not..... in fact he would rather you think he does not exist so he can control you with more ease.

It must be exhausting to believe a supernatural being is constantly after you. Your reading comprehension problems aside, I think we can agree that thought-crimes are sinful. I like the part about how not believing the devil exists makes it able to control you easier. That's a neat story.

Jupiter, like our moon, has been hypothesized to be very important, currently and especially in the past, for the survival of life on Earth as they are gravity wells for large asteroids and comets entering our solar system.

Meaning, they suck in the planet killing rocks flying at 20,000 mph before they hit earth.

I never knew that. Cool story bro.... for real.

Can we have a cool space thread without nutjob religious conversation and atheists that feel the need to poke the bear?

I agree with that. I was a couple beers in last night and remembered this meme:

Even my Christian friends find it funny. Didn't honestly mean to rile up ctiger so much.

No, it is actually the opposite. Living for Jesus and trying to do my best is very rewarding and keeps me going in bad times. Living without Jesus would be exhausting and I would feel empty inside no matter what I did to help myself except for turning to God.
