Still got the state working against you, though. Part of my problem is that I'd prefer the Bay Area, most likely.

1. Go to store
2. Buy Cactus
3. Run towards human wall with the cactus
4. Go to class

meh, i don't really let that stuff bother me.

My day to day life isn't terribly effected by the political direction of the gov't.

Beaches, beautiful women, beer, great weather, solid local gov't. Enough for me

I'd probably get used to it. Guns might be an issue for me, although I'm sure it can be navigated.

I think some mace and a couple of piss balloons would do the trick. They need some LSU frat stars at Cal.

It's not Texas or Oklahoma, but you can have a gun...

If the only reason someone wouldn't move to a place is because they don't agree with the majority population's political views, I would say that's taking it way too seriously.

That's what they wish to have. They want the protests to mean something, but they don't and it infuriates them to where they have to do assholish things like this.

I can see some situations where I couldn't live somewhere due to the political/religious climate, but those places are pretty rare and would have little to offer in terms of fun/weather/geography

I don't see why. I mean, it's another cultural aspect, a big one, that people may not want to be a part of. I get that it may be ridiculous not to move to California to take a great job and be close to family because of the political views of residents. But if you're just picking out locales, wanting to live around folks that think/believe like you do doesn't strike me as odd at all.

Is this gate the only way to get to the buildings behind it? Or did people just have to walk around the corner?

You can walk around and still get into the campus. So, I'm sure 99% of the students that saw this took a detour and went about their day normally.

Also, the like/dislike count on that video says a lot about what people think.

Never in my life have I wished I attended a school in California this badly. What I would give to be one of those guys trying to get to class. I would have commandeered a golf cart and plowed through their asses. Is there a worst scourge on this earth than SJWs? I cannot think of one.

But you would be. That's what you're not getting. Even in Central California. You have this view of the state that the media fed to you that's just not true.

And maybe it's just me, but me and my friends almost never talk about politics or social issues. I couldn't care less about what someone believes in that regard. They're either cool or they aren't.
