This is also what I was thinking about watching this. They just want to recreate a bunch of "bettering the world" movements like the 60s movements.
I also believe that mindset is also true amongst some black population relative to the civil rights movements....as if they are even remotely close to that status anymore.

I played enough red rover to know a line of queers (in the way they think, not sexual preference) wouldn't have stopped me from going through. I'd ran plumb over an Asian, and just kept going. And when I was done with class, I'd run right through the back of them to get out. frick that line all up.

I'm glad I live in Baton Rouge, if someone wanted to raise awareness about idiots getting shot by the cops they would organize a walk or run not a blockade.

I think this video just illustrates the problem of "by any means necessary". The message, the idea gets lost.
MLK, Jr. believed the medium and message must be commensurate with one another.
Take the guy who landed a gyrocopter on the White House lawn. His message? Abuse in campaign finances. The result? All we talk about is how the White House needs to up its security. His message is lost, and now he's going to prison, lose his job, and lose his pension.

Quotas says more about the admissions department and the university. without standardized or acquired admissions procedures, how are we supposed to be sure their aren't "caps" on certain students, whether they fit a certain profile (not necessarily race) or not?
