I always had similar issues with my game. It's common to change your swing with the driver because you are trying to squeeze all of the yardage you can out of it.
Btw, a consistent nasty slice makes for a nice clubhouse joke.
"I can hit a 500 yard drive!"
"No, you cant."
"Sure I can! 300 yards straight ahead, 200 yards to the right!"
Seriously, try a driver with an offset head, made a world of difference for me. Similarly, a driver with a Draw setup will do the trick too.
Also try keeping your right elbow tucked(assuming you're right handed). Before I made the adjustment, when I would try to power through the ball, which would open the club face because my hands were so far in front and were pulling the club instead of swinging.
Stiff shaft might help as well, I'd would have to see your swing. But they make a difference to me, I swing too fast for clubs with a lot of waggle to catch up to my hands.
My dream Driver right now is a Calloway Diablo Driver w/ a stiff shaft, draw setup, and 8 degree loft.
Just calm yourself when you get on the teebox, concentrate on making a good solid swing. Don't try to kill it. Swing at 90% percent, not 110%.
One way to change the mindset is to play an entire round without ever taking it out of the bag, and see what you score. Normally if you have a slice problem, you'll end up with a lower score doing this. Helps change your mentality. You don't need that extra 10-20 yards you think swinging as hard as you can will get you.

Rotate your right hand on top of the grip more and flatten out your swing. During your back swing try and picture yourself wrapping the club clockwise around your waist.
You're currently coming in to steep. Also, go to the driving range and hit a full bucket with just driver, you'll get it worked out.

Rotating my right hand more over my left hand (strengthening my grip) has helped me a ton. Also teeing the ball almost even with my left toe and visualizing "throwing" the club through the ball.
I am right handed by the way

Oh I realize I want an outdated driver.
There are 2 problems in acquiring one though.
1) Finding one with that very specific setup.
and the bigger problem of the 2,
2) I don't think I can golf anymore.
I have a bad shoulder, surgery didn't heal right. I have a permanent restriction of 30 lbs, and while I've tried swinging a few times, it never goes well. Either my shoulder won't let me follow through because the hardware in the shoulder catches, or I can and it just hurts too bad to make it through more than 3 holes.
As I said, I realize the club I want is outdated at this point, and cheap. However, my dad has the 3 wood with the stiff shaft and a draw setting. I can cream that thing, and put the ball basically anywhere I want. Only had one driver I could hit farther, but never had the same type of control with it. I wanna give the diablo 3 wood's big brother a shot if my shoulder ever recovers enough to do so.

this crap about club face closing and stronger grip is a crock of shite that's at best, a temp fix.
I've been closing my clubface VERY significantly (ask Net or ole man - ole man almost pissed himself on the first tee at Beaver when he saw it) for years now. It started as a temporary fix, but it's stuck around because it works for me. Went from absolute hacker to single digits one summer. Was down to a 5.7 index the next summer. My swing mechanics have improved dramatically obviously, but my most consistent and powerful swing is when I close my club head way over.
More than one way to skin a cat. And man, does it get some funny reactions on the course.

He pissed on himself, but that has nothing to do with your club face at address.

What's your handicap & how often do you play?

This is impossible to diagnose, especially online, without more information.
