Merrifield is a leftist loon who lives in NY and seeks nothing but to cause problems.

you don’t think transplanted New Iberia folk in Youngsville and Broussard know what’s best for Lafayette - I don’t know to tell you.

Don't forget about all of the Opelousas and Eunice transplants in Carencro.

Josh is a one term mayor. Even the people that put him there knew that but he’s filling the gap until the one they really want can run.

Is this a hypothetical or is there someone in mind?

Simone Champagne would have been a better choice but she didn't get the traction she deserved. She had business experience, administrative experience as a budget director, knowledgeable about policy and economics, and was in the legislature. Josh ran a great campaign by pandering to the boomers who listen to KPEL everyday saying "I like Trump so vote me." I'd rather Josh than Carley 10× but he has been really disappointing, won't be surprised if he turns out to be a one termer like Joel Robideaux.

am I the only one who thinks that inciting civil unrest by promoting false protests is actually a big deal?

Even then, calling for a protest, even a fake one, isn’t a crime.

The people behind this are trying to cause problems but call it satire as a shield
Yep, and their last "satirical" event just so happened to be on the same day out of town protesters showed up en masse across town. He was trying to divert the police from those other areas. I don't think that's legal.

Dude needs jail.

The suit also alleges that Merrifield has "sought to profit off the havoc he created" through creating and selling an "Acadianatifa" flag

Wouldn't "Acadiantifa" be a better way to say/spell it?

I just read the suit.

Interestingly, they also allege the damages the City suffered were less than $75,000. That’s to keep it out of federal court and keep it in state court.

Out house counsel filed it so it’s costing the city money unless they took it on contingency, which would be dumb.

This is clearly retaliation from Guillory.

I harken back to the good ole days of law enforcement when a few less than lethal taps of the blackjack to the ribs would straighten these law benders out.

Dude needs jail for the most obvious satire possible?

Even if it wasn’t satire, calling for a protest isn’t jail time worthy. You don’t want to go down that road.

The irony. You literally told me a few weeks ago you support and see nothing wrong with the fisa abuse in dc and that the beltway by and large is clean.

He must have pissed you off if he made you break character by posting this. Alas, though, another example of the left being unable to meme.

I don’t think she is well. She is retiring from her position with Youngsville and was recently in a serious car accident.
