You trying to indoctrinate your son's coach with your catholicism is innapropriate conduct.

Like id talk to him to his face, but I dont want it to cause a rift on the team and hurt my boy's chances of playing. He's one of the league's leading scorers, and I'd hate for his pt to suffer because I confronted the coach. But I don't want him learning said language so young.
you are lame as frick. if you want to stand up for your principles, then do it. either way, don't be such a bitch about it and use your 6 year olds playing time as a crutch.

So you openly admit to not being very open to more than one way of looking at something.
This would explain your lack of empathy.

Inappropriate Conduct
You are a pussy. They only thing I find inappropriate about this coach is this:
quote:
He even has the team say a prayer before each game.
That's bullshite. What if some of the parents are atheists and raise their children as such?
ETA: Or not Christian. Some other religion?

In fact it is. Sure, it is considered socially acceptable in some settings, but I doubt you would say "God damn" during a job interview.
I used shite, son of bitch, crap, and damn in a job interview.
Offered me on the spot. Promoted me twice in 2 years.

My question is, what should I do (if anything)? I don't want to start a rift with the team - they're on a four game winning-streak. But I don't want my boy around that.
that's a silly and trivial thing to be upset with.
If it's that big of a deal, discuss the issue with your son and why it's important to you. If you're not satisfied with that, take him off the team.
But to get upset over language is just silly. Certainly there are more important things to concern yourself with.

nope, that was pure response to his liberal comment. I don't make decisions based on how other people say I should.

Then just stand there and deal with it. No reason take away someone else's right to pray.

Or perhaps don't send your kid to a Catholic school.

Talk to the coach about the inappropriate behavior and then if he doesn't change you can talk to the league officials and or move him to another league that suits your needs better.
This isn't that hard. I'm a father and coach and would not be offended if you mentioned that I cursed in front of the kids. I personally wouldn't do that but some do obviously.

Why do I get the feeling that your line of work has "high school degree" preferred in the job description?
Posted on 12/23/14 at 11:03 am to Professor Parks
Either have morals and stand for them, or be a pussy and don't. Your decision
