If you are just minding your own business , no. But if a crime has been committed or if they’re investigating one, you are.

But either way, is not showing your ID really a hill you want to die on? It’s never going to end well for you. The cops will just make your life miserable for refusing. But if I’m just sitting there minding my own business, I’m telling them to take a hike.
