I can't stand these absolutes. "There is NEVER a time to put your hands on a woman." It's not even hit, the standard has been lowered all the way down to laying your hands on them. For example, let's say I have a 30/40
something-year old woman baby sitting my 3-year-old daughter. I come home early to find her sodomizing my little girl with a broom handle while she squirms and screams for me--or anybody--to save her from this monster. Am I to calmly tell her to cease the shenanigans and talk it out while the police arrive? frick no. I'm gonna get on top of her and with the fury of a thousand suns, pummel her face until it looks like a fricking exploded red pumpkin. Close casket style.
Now, granted this scenario is extremely unlikely and very hyperbolic, but you can't just make blanket statements like "there's no reason to EVER hit a woman." It's self serving to make the person feel morally superior. As a general rule, of course you don't aggressively touch women. It's repulsive. But let's have honest conversations.

I have massive respect for WW2 vets but that just isn't true. Domestic violence has always been an issue with returning combat veterans. Hell, we sat through a week of classes about it before we were even allowed to sign out on leave when we came home from OIF.
