Yeah it's terrible. So exaggerated.

Due to deteriorating weather conditions, #Savannah Fire has suspended response to calls.
The center keeps creeping closer and closer to Savannah...

Are you expecting a landfall? Maybe somewhere near the GA SC line?

Unwatchable

My hurricane coverage has come straight from the nhc, this thread, and individual sources like chasers. So much better.

Glad I'm in Biloxi with it bearing down on Charleston. They have said it will hit the coast since Florida and it hasn't yet. I hope it keeps its perfect record.

Just hard to believe that this state is about to get over ten inches of rain almost exactly a year after the floods. Tomorrow is gonna be a long day down there.

I wouldn't rule out a landfall

It seems almost unavoidable at this point, unfortunately it looks like somewhere around Charleston. Hopefully, the tide going out around that time will offset the surge.

SC guys, I hate to show you this but it doesn't look good for Conway in a few days. The forecasted crest is only 0.8 feet less than last October. I just wanted to let you know in case you have family/friends in the area.

Havent been keeping up much today, but had the eye still not technically made landfall?
Posted on 10/8/16 at 12:36 am to Titus Pullo
Not yet. They're anticipating landfall in the next few hours between Savannah and Charleston

That's what I had gathered from just catching up.
Thanks.
Looks like FL dodged a bullet for the most part. Although I know a lot of people have damage, it looks like it wasn't as bad as it could have been.
GA,SC and maybe NC don't look like they will be as lucky unfortunately.
Thanks.

AKA exactly where my house is. I'm on the way to the airport in London to head back home. Kind of a helpless feeling being so far away

The guy in Savannah for the weather channel is such a cheese dick.

Hilton Head island getting northern eyewall.

Still with power in MtP. Rain seems slight lull at this current moment. Lights flickering and looks like some rooms in the building have some water but unsure of where it's coming from. Interior? Either way dry for now and trying to get more sleep.
