We have seen these models get it wrong time and time again dude. To be honest, you'd have to be a dumb@ss to put all of your faith in these models.

Looks that way, but not really. Hurricane watch means hurricane conditions are possible. But they think it won't get that strong so TS is the prediction.

I wasn't talking about the watches, I was referring to the storm motion being WNW, while the track is basically due North.

That's current/immediate past vs. future motion.

The next dot is 12 hours from now.

. Yeah, if this thing doesn't start north east in the next couple of hours, they're going to have to swing that projected path west. I think it's looking like Pensacola right now.

Was it Andrew that crossed the southern tip of Florida, then came ashore around the LA/MS border, curved NE, re-surfaced in the Atlantic, curved southward and then southwest and then re-entered the Gulf for a second pass?

I just don't get how they keep projecting it to turn and it keeps heading west. They have it basically turning straight north on the map but it's not doing that. What are they missing?

It seems like the LLC and MLC are trying to co-locate with each other tonight.

Hard to tell without recon but storms are firing as it looks like the MLC drifts SW? According to CIMSS analysis, the MLC is rotating under the upper level anticyclone and the 850 vort max is way south of where the 18z GFS has it. But at end of loop storms look to be firing near the LLC again.

It's clearly heading either north, south, east or west. I can tell you that with 100% certainty.
