People in America die of the plague. Its very very rare because it is treated easily with antibiotics. Plus, they just stacked rotting bodies in the street back then, so there is basically zero chance of the plague ever being bad again.

some of mongolia (outer) is independent country where they use russian alphabet and were good friends with ussr. most of mongolia (inner) is part of Chinese Republic where they are more mainstream han chinese. Chinese capital beijing only so far north because mongols establish honorable yuan dynasty ruling all china from mysterious wooden city in far north leave no archaeological trace!
