Not sure if it's similar across Western Europe but I was in the Netherlands this past summer and neither their waiters nor taxi cab drivers expect tips because they have a fairly high minimum wage. Nothing like $25, but certainly somewhere about 11 euros an hour I think someone said, which obviously is a higher number in dollars.

Especially since I get scalped on my weed I didn't know any dealers here in the Midwest and so the guy who lives a couple of floors above me constantly rips me off when he sells it to me as a middle man. It's kind of refreshing in a way... I'm tired of the dealers who you have to smoke a ceremonial bowl with and listen to their shitty pink Floyd or bob Dylan for a hour.

The cost of living in Switzerland is about what it is in the Bay Area where I live. 25 bucks is way too much for minimum wage. But then this is Europe we are talking about.
