Yes, it is.
/thread.
I really only notice it on small Livingston and ascension parish roads, at night, where there is no place to pass or pull over. These redneck fricks think riding 1 inch from your bumper is a good way to make you go faster.
They didn't factor in those lights I installed in my bumper tho.

Probably because some a-hole is cruising in the passing lane

That's good and all, but if you're impeding traffic in the left lane, you're in the wrong. If you're passing, that's fine. But speed up and finish passing and get the frick over as soon as possible. But even if you're doing 85 in the left lane, if someone comes up behind you doing 90, by law you're supposed to move out of the way.

Low IQ, zero situational awareness for worst case scenario like something in the roadway for car up front, no regard for others, zero value of human life, and an 80% chance or greater of being a leech on society "Democrat."
And not to be outdone by the societal leeches, the suburban Karens also should not be allowed a V8 for their SUV. 90-hp is all those semen buckets need.

It’s everywhere. Come to Jersey and Karen’s have been driving slow in the left lane since the invention of the 4 lane highway.

I just take my foot off the gas and slow down until they back off. Don't do a brake check though, unless you are looking to put your car in the shop.

If they get really close to my tailgate I will just slow down. Sometimes I will purposefully run to the edge of the road to kick up gravel.
If they do “bump” me it will be a $5,000 bonus!!!!!

I'll move over if I'm in the left lane and see someone faster than me coming up. Only assholes don't do that.
But, all bets are off if I'm in the right lane and they're tailgating me. Find someone in the left lane driving my speed and box them in. It's one of the few simple pleasures I still have left.

Asshats with huge trucks on i10 between Praireville and Laplace make that stretch a living hell

My dad is from Jersey. I've experienced them as well and they are most certainly terrible

A few weeks ago I was on I95 in the middle lane going like 7 over the speed limit. There was a dude in a truck tailgating me like crazy, all while the damn left lane was wide open. I continue going the same speed because I was on cruise control so the dude whips into the left lane, flies by me, whips back into the middle lane cutting me off, and gives me the bird through his rear view mirror.

I see it at all ages now. Teens, 20's, grandparents, etc. It seems everyone wants to get in the passing lane and just drive because they can.

I'm not slowing down and getting stuck behind vehicles doing 5 mph under because you want to speed more than I do.

I just hit the windshield washer. Doesn't really achieve anything, but it makes me feel better.

For real. There's an entitlement people going 80+ have. If I get past one car and there's another one in front of it also going slow, sorry I'm staying in the left lane to pass it as well.

notice the last few years, especially in the south, it is fairly normal to ride someone's bumper even when they're doing 10-over in the left lane and a line of cars in front.
If you dont do this then some a-hole will pass in right lane and sneak into that 15 ft gap so he can get to Gulf Shores 2 minutes faster
