Really cool watch, all of the 62MAS reissues are great. I passed on a SJE093J1 a few months ago. It had been sitting in the display case for a few months at the AD, I guess no one really knew how rare it was. Couldn’t justify dropping $3,500 on one but saw that they’re on Chrono24 for almost twice that now.
Rolling with the SPB381 today. The color variation really shows out in the sunlight:

White Birch is high on my list for the next acquisition, along with a JLC Master Ultra Thin Date. Very different watches, and I can't make up my mind!

my friend with the original GMT i posted about a few pages back? he's finally in line with Bob Ridley at watchmakers international to do a complete restore.
i'm excited for him; the timepiece is worth well north of $30k and its only going to run him around $4k for the servicing to restore it to its former glory.
i'll post the update when its done; there's a pretty long line ahead of him so it will be months.

Switched out the NATO strap for a stainless jubilee bracelet on the Seiko diver

I've been trying to find a watch I lost in the early 2000s.
The brand may have been a Kenneth Cole - the brand was definitely a man's name, but for the life of me I cannot remember it. I bought it from the Watch Station in the mall some time in the late 90s/early 2000s.
It had a rectangular stainless steel body.
The face sat on the lower half of the body. The face was blue and had a domed crystal on it. I don't believe there were any numbers or hour/minute markings on the face.
The band was stainless steel.
I've tried google searching with no luck.
Any ideas?

Thanks. I used to have the late 70s version of that watch that my dad used to wear when we lived in Dubai and he'd spear fish in the Persian Gulf.
I'd lost it, so this was the closest replacement I could find.

I don't think so.
The watch wasn't traditional looking like that one. Most of it was just the body, with the face and domed crystal taking up the bottom half of the body. My brain is leaning towards Kenneth Cole, but I'm not 100% sure.
It looked like this

It would have been between 1997 and 2000. Probably closer to 97 than 2000. I know I had it when I was at LSU. And I lost it when I was still working at Blockbuster Video. It was purchased at one of those Watch Station stores in the Esplanade Mall.

On a whim, I emailed Kenneth Cole's customer service, and surprisingly they responded almost immediately. A customer service rep asked for info on what I could remember about the watch and said that she'll check old catalogs to see if anything she has access to matches my description.
