Yeah. I went to the site when I was stuck in Mississippi. There's just this monument over the shaft they detonated the devices in. These aren't my pictures, but that's the site.
You might notice that the plaque in the bottom picture is portrait and the plaque shown on the monument is landscape. There are two different plaques. The one in the bottom picture explains what went down there. The one you can see on the monument basically gives the plots of land that were involved in the test and says that you are not to drill, dig, excavate, etc. below sea level without permission of the federal government.
The place is kinda just out near a field and some piney woods. It's about 25 or 30 miles from Hattiesburg and unless you know about the test, you really would never notice anything about the landscape that would tip you off.

I can see the confusion of thinking a nuke went off while driving through Jackson. But no, it’s just a 50mt culcha bomb that went off.

I've driven through Baxterville on HWY 13 a time or two. Blink and you are past it. I've heard birth defects are rampant.

We are morons. Our dumbass government set off over 900 underground nukes in Nevada. You think ground water is fricked up? And nuclear fallout is all over Utah like jizz on a porn set.
