In all fairness, why do I need to hear from a governor, that there’s going to be high winds, lots of rain, tidal surge, and the like, pretty much what I’m going to learn from watching a local weather report or the weather channel. It’s Louisiana. We do hurricanes almost every year. This isn’t really new.
I get it. We want to see a dog and pony show, but it could all simply be sent out in a memo and reported on in the local and national news if he needs to get some urgent information out to the public. It’s a whole lot quicker than having a big news conference to simply show he’s on the clock and engaged. He doesn’t need to hold my hand. If you’re in the way of the storm and at risk, get out of the way. If you need toilet paper and peanut butter and jelly, go to the store and get some. If you need gas, fill up.

Gonna be honest. I'd rather have the Tiger paraded around than him speak about this little rain shower.
