top of the line customer service when it comes to yellow cab. You only have to call the office if the cc machine is down.
No, you only have to call if the driver SAYS it's down to find out if they are fricking lying to you or not.
This retards only argument is, "Hey man, we show up and you guys aren't there!" Except he always ignores the part about being told someone will be there in 15 minutes and still aren't there after an hour.

Wait time is 15 minutes every time you call a cab. Every SINGLE time. Has to be magic or something.

Dick, what if pizza places performed like the YC companies? Do you think customers would be satisfied? Do you think they would blame their lack of service (being hours late) on other customers and that people would accept this? If a pizza delivery service was more than an hour late with my delivery I most certainly would not wait around to eat and I most certainly wouldn't answer the door when he finally arrived. This is not the fault of the customer, rather its the fault of the business model for that company. All you do is drive a car, you don't even have to make a pizza! This process should be soooo easy with the technology we have these days. To blame your lack of service on customers and to continue to say that its the customers fault just goes to show how awful your business model is. You need to look in the mirror, however it is too late. You should've adapted looooong ago. The only thing you have saving you right now is the government and I can promise you it is just a matter of time.

I made over 1k driving for Uber after taxes in one weekend only driving about 400 miles. OP is an idiot who is scared of losing business. Get with technology man. It always wins.

I've had a few drivers tell me they make that in a weekend on big weekends in Nashville.
Had one say he made that on New Years Eve alone.

the fare is the same for 1 person as it is for 4 ppl. Spliting fare in cab even easier just tell friends to divy up some $ and boom now you have everyone paying equal cost.
Uber is even better in this regard... gone are the days of one person getting screwed bc no one has cash, now you split fare your uber ride and PROBLEM SOLVED.
Seriously, YC is decades behind Uber in literally every facet.

Really the 15 min argument. Ok here I will address that. Yes you would be told 15 min during non peak times(not between 1am and 3am). Most fares are picked up between 30 min or less between time cust called and cab shows up.
Like I have said before, not everyone is telling 100% of the details in their experience with YC. I hear these same complaints on the street while picking ppl up. After talking to them and getting the rest of the story, it pretty much is the same. They were calling at 2am with the rest of BR from a bar. Its also amazing how every one claims to be waiting 3 hrs to get cab. However if you drive down 3rd street or in tiger land at about 2:45 on normal weekends, it is a ghost town.
Yes the customers in some cases are to blame. If you call 2 or 3 different drivers plus YC to see who gets there faster, then you just tied up 4 drivers trying to get one person. Again you are blaming us for taking so long. Is it our fault that someone does this? The worst spot for no shows tigerland. Someone will call for cab then the vomit rocket shows up, they get on for the free ride and then don't call to let YC know they have left. not saying we are 100% innocent but in these cases we are not to blame. So yes your fellow patrons who tie up the system are to blame.
The other problem is your co hearts jumping in the wrong cab and lying to the driver. This is stealing your cab. I know it's not a perfect world and everyone will be honest.
As far as revenue not worried with that either. The reason I disagree with uberx is one simple fact. It is a illegal. UBER has already made the statement that it will not provide the list of cars and drivers providing service. Reason why they would have to by License for the company yearly and also pay yearly for car permits. They are simply a glorified ponzi scheme.
The grammar issue really! There are only 2 things you all keep pointing out. Every time I produce the facts to back up something you move to something else.

2 cars available a few minutes ago. Earliest I've seen a car on a weekday.
I've used Uber twice and liked it. Will use again this weekend.

You could block out the important stuff. I'm calling BS. Anyone can make crap up on the Internet.

Exactly. The fact that Uber allows you to see exactly where your driver is puts it leaps and bounds above YC. I could just have my phone open in the bar watching for when he gets close. That is a total game changer.
Not to mention that on the off chance your Uber driver is 15 min late you can give him a bad rating or complain to Uber and more than likely get refunded.

Guess what, Uber has solved this problem... Don't you get it? You blame the customer while Uber removed the issue.
