The first polio vaccines were given as a drop of liquid on a sugar cube, the injection is more recent. It was a mass vaccination, not something you waited to go to a doctor to get. People like myself, and my parents lined up at schools, churches, government buildings, and were given a sugar cube in a little paper cup as the line moved through the building. Just trying to help people learn a little history.
That is actually a really cool glimpse into the past.
It must have been nice for the public to trust the government to have their best interest in mind.
If they came up with a cancer vaccine (I know its not possible but if they did...) tomorrow and asked everyone to go to their local church or wherever to receive it, half our dumbass nation would protest and claim the government was trying to screw us over in some way.

Actually when the first vaccines were given in 1955 there were some bad batches. 40,000 children contracted a minor form of polio from the vaccines, hundreds of people got the serious polio and there were at least 10 deaths. It led to major loss of trust in the vaccine and vaccination rates dropped.

without them we wouldn't have FDR and the over-reaching federal Govt.

Inclines (chair ramps) are used for more than just chair ramps. And it's also an essential part of trigonometry jackass (you know SIN, COS and all that shite). Get the frick out of here you dumbass. You don't even know the importance of things.
