It would be cool if the gas stations designated one or two pumps for cars/trucks only. That way the people just trying to get to work wouldn’t need to wait in line behind baws trying to fill up 50 gal worth of fuel at a time, which I totally understand the need for during this tough time.

The OT has become old lady Facebook, where people do nothing but sit around and bitch about their inconveniences.

I don’t even mess with a gas station now unless they have people out for line control. I’m not stepping into the Wild West when I don’t need to.

I have a 8500 portable generac ran to a 30 amp plug outside of my house and 30 amp breaker on my panel inside. It runs everything in my house except the 220 stuff (stove, dryer, water heater, etc) I have three window units running. I shut it off in the morning and turn it on around 5-6 pm and I am using around 5 gallons a night. They are telling us my power will be out until late september so I am trying to burn as little as possible. During the day I am at work and the wife and kids have been going hang out at the in laws where they have power. No reason to run 24/7. I am the dude with the 20 gas cans in my truck, but when I get fuel I am supplying five homes. I either try to go late at night or super early in the morning and haven't had to wait in crazy lines or deal with people in general.

Good Lord, this thread has got some ridiculous spots in it. First, there is not a “gas shortage “ The demand is off the charts due to the number of generators that are never in need of gas, all of sudden need to power luxuries like lights on a pool house or some kids phone so her/she can play a video game. My power was out. It is back on. Before it went out I condensed my 2 frigs down to one. Gassed up both vehicles. And had about 20 gals of gas for my generator. While my power was out, I powered my frig and a window AC unit(sporadically when I needed a break from the heat). You can sleep through the night without air if you drink enough alcohol. Sweat a little bit. It’s good for the soul
