I hope you have trouble sleeping tonight and every night. What a coward move. You could have taken him to any shelter or rescue in town with zero judgement.

This sweet thing was abandoned with no tag or ID and was terrified and sitting by the gate waiting on someone to come back for him.

Luckily there were other people there taking him in and he will have a better life than you could provide

I would have loved to take him home but I can’t just show up with another dog randomly.

There was a couple who took him and said they’d take him to the shelter by Alex Box or maybe keep him.

He was so sweet and smart but scared and alone at the same time.

That is an Australian Sheppard and well taken care of. Those are not cheap. Sad if true but he will find a home fast. Very smart dog too. We don't deserve dogs they are truly a gift to the people.

How do you know the dog didn’t just escape its yard and make its way into that park?

Might be more to the story. Obviously
I have no idea, but it’s hard to imagine a well taken care of dog would be purposely abandoned. Maybe someone is looking for the dog. I would check PawBoost lost dogs or post a found listing on there or the Nextdoor App and see if anyone is missing the dog.

Edit,
I see someone already posted on PawBoost. Great job! Thank you for looking out for him.

What I was wondering. What is the origin of the abandoned narrative?

This was a lost dog who was put into the dog park for his safety. The owner was found and they’ve been reunited. He wasn’t dumped.

You wasted a lot of energy on this post without having a clue.

I got to the park and there was one person and her two dogs and the Australian Sheppard. When she was leaving she commented on how that dog was there alone and no person with it.

I was there for an hour and talked to 4 other people and we all came to the conclusion that he was abandoned.

One hog said he’s unfortunately seen this thing there a few times.

All the signs were there: no tags, no leash, no person watching him, and the dogs behavior and demeanor.

Even after we all asked people around the park it was obvious he was abandoned

That’s great. I figured a dog looking like that would probably have an owner looking for him.

That’s interesting. Well thanks for caring either way. I hope the reunited story is true. That is really a sweet looking dog.

There are way better channels for reuniting dogs and owners than just dumping at a park but I’m glad it all worked out.

I didn’t waste any energy, just wanted the best outcome for the dog but thanks for your input.

This dog was visibly scared. Don’t do that

Here is Murf's lost listing. They are reunited.

Looks like a great deal.

Maybe Mr. Knapp can put a collar on his dog with his phone number on an ID tag.

Looks like my dog a papillon mix. Of course mine is much older and has a pretty much white face. Personality wise looks like this rescue though. Good job

Change your damn headline. So you stumbled upon a lost dog and claim someone just came and dumped him there.

Beautiful dog

But I love when people speak in absolutes and get worked up over something they know nothing about

Don't you know it's now the norm to be offended, even when there's no reason to be.

Make a knee-jerk assumption and run with it to show outrage without knowing all the facts...........
