Wut. I mean, winter can suck almost anywhere, but you pinpoint Mississippi as a place with bad winters? There are around 40 states that would laugh at that assertion.

Weather always comes down to heat. People are biased against heat. They'd rather live in Serbia than Arizona.

Oklahoma

It took 3 pages to get to this one. Blizzards and ice storms in the winter, tornados in the spring, hot as hell in the summer.

I guess it’s all relative, but even Sitka, which is considered one of the least snowiest areas of Alaska, averages 30 inches a year.

Sitka is several kinds of awesome, except the weather. They get more winter rain than snow, which sucks IMO. I'd rather have the snow. The climate there is more similar to Seattle than it is to Anchorage.

Anchorage climate isn't bitter, its similar to the Great Lakes area in winter, just lasts about a month longer. When you get north of the Mat_Su Valley is when you start seeing polar stuff.

I just left Kentucky, and I remember 32 degrees in November and May There is no sun in that state. The weather was grey and rainy everyday.

Pretty similar to Nashville winter. If you’re not experiencing the regional weekly sampler, it’s exactly 38-39 degrees with rain, 20 degrees when the sun comes out, and 40 degrees overcast!

Not to go full conspiracy theory, but there have been some strange articles about areas of the country that are seeing the most migration, and the wealth moving to those areas from other areas that are very different politically and socially

That’s just a lie. I know people personally who have done just that.

Have you heard of North Dakota? Easily the worst. Freaking cold and windy. Tornados during the summer.

Horrible horrible place.

I lived up there. The winters suck but your body gets adjusted to the cold temps pretty easily. When it snows, you can still drive outside and do stuff. The worst part is May where you think it’s over and it snows another 5 inches lol. I never had any issue with tornadoes up there, I remember like one storm that resembled a typical southeastern storm.

Vs Middle TN it’s hard to get adjusted because it can be 20 degrees one day and 80 degrees the next. If it snows you are screwed because it’s icy and makes the roads undriveable. Plus, you have to deal with the snow panic shvt at the grocery stores. Tornados used to be a spring time event, but you can have one any time I of the year now in Nashville.

We live in a state where insurance companies have literally left or had massive hike increases because of the amount of hurricanes we have had.

The humidity also sticks to your body at 7 AM.

List is complete shite.

But hey, weather likes/dislikes, are subjective.

I think West Coast weather is the best, but hate continually rainy conditions so not sure I'd like living in PNW through all that.

I wouldn't mind living in most places except areas up north / midwest where it stays cold and snowy for more than 3-4 months.

Living in central Va I sometimes think it stays cool too long, but then I see the hot temps you all down south are already having and I'm grateful.

I used to think it got really hot here in Virginia but then would visit my folks in the Fl Panhandle in summer. Forget going on a run, unless it's at 6am.

Love that state.

Id imagine you are referring to Jackson Hole area, for which words cannot describe its beauty. But the vast majority of Wyoming is not so great.
