We left South Lake Tahoe this morning and had a driver who somehow got us to the Reno airport alive. 50 was still open. I have no clue how he drove in that, I couldn’t even tell what lane we were in. Flights have been tricky but just made our final flight and will get into Nola after midnight. That snow was no joke!

Wow, wasn’t expecting this any time soon. She was great in everything she did. Really underrated if you ask me.

Sure, for the ones initially on the chase. But I saw the first cops fly past on 190 when I got on from 415. The last cop cars I saw was flying north on 110. Some of these cops were so far behind but they were endangering everyone’s life that was around because they just had to get in on the action. It’s careless and it can kill people. Maggie and Caroline should have been enough to stop this.

Saw the same thing around 2:30. It seemed like a lot of cop cars for a chase but can’t think what else it might be. Mostly EBR Sheriff cars but some state police, too. If it was a chase it started in EBR.

I had to swear off Duang Tawan because we went in not knowing what to expect and the place was just like someone’s messy and slightly musty old house. We just ordered pad Thai so while it was good it was nothing earth shattering. Finally convinced my husband to go back and now we are obsessed. I could live off of their Panang.
I’m happy to see the J Alexander love. I usually get downvoted when I recommend it but I think people just think it’s a chain restaurant at the mall type of thing and it’s really so much better than that. That spinach queso hits every time.

What is the medication needed monthly for Cushings? My dog has the opposite of Cushings which is Addisons and she needs a $200 injection every month. I didn’t know Cushings required medication in the same way. My dog was diagnosed very young so we didn’t hesitate to treat it and pay it every month. Her quality of life has been excellent and as long as she gets her shot every month then you would never know she has the disease. Hopefully it’s the same for your pup but I don’t know how old they are.

I have a few thoughts.
One, I think she definitely fell or jumped. I lean with an accidental fall because the only thing missing were her cigarettes and lighter. Why jump with those?
The dad said the balcony door was open a foot or two. If you have ever been on a cruise and had a balcony room, you know what happens when you try opening the door to leave the room. It creates a major vacuum with a ton of win and noise. No way all 3 of them would have slept through that.
I don’t buy these statements of fact that she would have washed ashore because of the proximity to land and the currents. That’s probably the most likely scenario but in no way is that guaranteed. People have drowned near the shoreline because of rip currents and never been found and they were WAY closer to land than she would have been.
Yellow was made out to be a womanizer and jerk but he sounded very believable on that phone call, IMO.
And finally, I think the message in a bottle was a huge foreshadowing to what she was thinking about doing. If she got back with the girlfriend she may have never done it (if you go with the jumping theory).
ETA: I’ve seen a LOT on the internet about the cruise director and how horrible he was. I didn’t get that AT ALL. I think he was very logical and spoke like someone responsible for 2500 people on a cruise. When family reported her missing it had only been 30 minutes. It’s impossible to search an entire ship in that time, especially if the missing person is moving around. I’ve spent hours trying to find people on a cruise before FINALLY spotting someone. I know it wasn’t crowded at that time but you have so many floors and the thing is 1000 ft long and the person may not be staying in place. There’s no way they could do anything at that time and if she got off at port she would have scanned and they would know. I don’t think the cruise line did anything wrong.

There was a ton of speculation that he was going to get euthanasia in Switzerland. Just last week Kelly Osbourne went on a rant saying it wasn’t true and her dad wasn’t dying. Hmmmm…

We ended up going to The Rutledge and it was really disappointing. The service was absolutely awful. Food was mid at best and it ended up being the most expensive meal we had here. I guess it’s a trade off when you stay in this area and don’t want to drive or Uber to other parts of the city. Had a fun time in Broadway after to make up for it. Lol
Nashville dining recs - SoBro area

We are in Nashville tonight, staying just a couple blocks from Broadway. Any good restaurant recommendations within walking distance? We went to Brick Tops last night and it was pretty good. The problem in this area is everything is so focused on the bars and live music. Kinda looking for a quiet break from all that for dinner.

Does Costco still not have a scan and go like feature? It’s the entire reason I have stayed with Sam’s because being able to scan my items as a I shop and pay as I am walking out the door is the best. It really doesn’t matter how crowded it is now because I can maneuver around people, what I couldn’t do before was get past the long arse lines to checkout.
How do you get estimated rainfall totals on RadarScope? I have the app but don’t have the pro version.
