My cousin doesn't play WSOP events. He says the buy ins are a waste. He sticks to traveling around to Casinos with poker rooms and private games.

He only played in one WSOP event while at the WSOP, the $1500 monster stack NLHE, the rest were smaller tournies at the Aria or cash games.

Seems a bit risky to me to be playing games like that. If I ever started playing again, I'd do some smaller WSOP events. Maybe just do some qualifiers in between. Aren't like 90% of the people in the main event qualified in and don't pay the full 10k?

Then again, I was never THAT good at poker. Just enough to pay for a lot of alcoholism in college

Gotcha.

My cousin has been to some WSOP events but just gave up on them after the cost and time was outweighing what he can win here at home.

He has traveled all over playing but tells me he likes the Lake Charles and Shreveport casinos here the best because they bus people in from Houston and Dallas and those guys get here thinking they are great poker players from beating up on their friends playing casual games.

Him and a few guys he plays with always look for the fish as they call them then proceed to clean them out. Friday nights are non-stop busses full of Mexicans from Houston with cash in hand from getting paid that day.

Thats a good way to win $! When I used to play I would only play on BoDog Sunday nights. People that won big on football would bring their $ into the poker room. You could always tell when someone was drunk, like half of the people were, so if you just were very patient you would ALWAYS finish the night ahead!

Once, I was in Monte Carlo and won $3.2M on a single hand of baccarat. Then I slept with Jennifer Aniston. I ruined her for other men and it's why she really left Brad Pitt.

True story.

About $250 playing black jack. I played two other times and won smaller amounts. I'm the only person I know who's actually up on the casinos...because I won 3 times and I gamble about once every 5 years.

WSOP events are not real money makers

cash games are where you make $$$

Yea they play every hand too until they get low on funds.

If you know enough like he does though it's easy to beat a bad player like that no matter how unpredictable they are.

That's always my downfall is I get impatient.

That's why I like the hell out of Craps is because of the action. Too bad Craps is the fastest way to lose your money though or else it's all I would play.

That's pretty much my story.

I won $275 playing blackjack at Harrah's a few years ago, and have only played one other time since then (won $80 at the Beau).

Roulette is very straight forward IMO but yea Craps can be confusing. I stick to the pass/come bets and inside numbers mostly.
