LSU seems to assume the entire student body lives on or very close to campus. Those full commuter lots are in your imagination

Your looking for the area of no rain inside the hook. These cells basically suck up warm moist air, cool it off and drop it out the back. The heavy precip is the dumping part.

The one heading towards New Roads and Morganza is radar indicated. There is not a confirmed sighting reported.
