DFW probably got it pretty bad yesterday, MSY later today
Flew out of Dallas Love last night at around 9:40 and holy shite, that was the worst turbulence I’ve ever experienced. I was scared shitless, was definitely saying some prayers, along with other words

It's been a while since a storm woke me up. This thing is hammering us.

At least you're getting it now. I have to wait a few hours before it gets to us.

Yep getting pounded in Broussard currently. My gf wakes me up bc she got the tornado warning and she’s scared. five minutes later she asks me to go get her breakfast

That brawd don't give a damn about you. Anyone here live in St. Martin? Sounds like it's really bad there

Got really hairy about 20 mins ago. FIL called and said tornado was headed our way, I go look outside and the wind was whipping 60+ mph ( it looked like it anyway ).
Calmed down significantly now.

Is the line moving faster than originally anticipated? Some of the models I saw on TV last night made it seem like this would impact SELA from 11 am - 6 pm, but it looks like it may be out quicker.

The main line will be through here pretty soon. There are some storms on the back end of the system near the LA/TX border that wont move out until later.
ETA - severe threat for Lafayette will be wrapping up soon, but the rains for the day won't be done until 4-5 PM. Should get a good break in the meantime.

Wife was making fun of me last night for being severe weather aware like my boy Rob told me to be. Then her arse wakes up to tornado warnings and wants to know what's going on.
