That close to the radar site too, means that rotation is about certainly getting to the ground. Looking tighter over the last two frames.

Just got home from work. Had a storm in Benton County, AR that should have been severe. It got pretty strong right before it blew over me. Showed some rotation and had a little hail. Plenty of lightning.

Thinking a tornado is on the ground heading for Mountainburg, AR.

yea watching TWC they just showed the rotation it's pretty strong, even some evidence of debris with the correlation coefficient.

thanks, I thought that didn't look right.

Holy shite. Someone shared a video of the tornado with a local news channel. It was BIG. Problem is it's up in the mountains so you can only see glimpses of it as he drives by. But man. That was wild.
If you've ever driven on I49 from ft smith to Fayetteville you know what I'm talking about.
edit.. here it is

@rds,
In your radar gif, that thin blue line coming in is the boundary correct?
That is the dryline. It separates warm dry air to the west from warm moist air to the east. They typically mix to the east and the dryline circulation is one of the drivers for storm formation. Updrafts form on the dry side and then push out across the moist side, if the updraft is strong enough and/or the cap weak enough, then the updraft will ingest warm moist air and explode into a storm.
You can see new storms exploding on the dryline as it pushes into Tarrant County.

Love old 71. When I was on the Hill it was the only way to get there from my part of Texas.

Whatever happened to that tornado from last week that spurred a PDS warning and was supposed to hit Coushatta?
Survey called it a 2.

A quick round of storms just came through Shreveport and we've got full sunshine behind it.

People trapped in homes in Mountainburg. Shite.
Man we rarely get tornadoes like that up here in NWA.
With that said this is a rarity with the dry line setting up the way it did today. Usually it kicks off storms near OKC and they work there way eastward.
Today it fired off storms near Tulsa.

So far this is setting up further north than I thought. I guess it's expecting too much to think that trend will continue.
