Not in this one instance, no. Stop trying to extrapolate it past this one instance where you agree with me.

Oh this is gonna be good.

His "Passport 8500" didn't go off because the cop was using his radar correctly.
1) He was driving the speed limit. The cop wouldn't tell him how fast he clocked him at. He just wanted inside the car.
2) You have no idea how radar or detectors work outside of your own limited anecdotes.
quote:
The only way those radar detectors work is if a cop leaves his antenna transmitting all the time. If they turn it on and off like they should between cars, the radar detector won't pick up the signal until it's too late.
None of this is true.

When I found this out, I pretty much gave up on using mine.
Yours was probably a piece of shite Cobra. Because you're stupid, and stupid people are usually poor and only poor people buy Cobras.

I'm not
I'm just talking about this instance
The cop had nothing other than a hunch and a false "hit" against these people
I'm sorry, but that is not how it works, cops aren't, or at least shouldn't be able to charge people based off a hunch

Cops are one of America's biggest problems, along with Politicians

If there wasn't $800k of unexplained cash, I'd agree. These people got busted coming home form a sale. Sucks for them.

and again, what is a reasonable amount of unexplained cash?
Posted on 5/28/15 at 8:17 am to Salmon
Not $800k, and since that's the only situation we're discussing, that's all I'm going to say.
Feel free to continue to ask the same questions that aren't relevant to this scenario over and over. We both agree that this is very likely drug money being seized. There's no point in continuing with this.

Are they drug dealers? probably, but the fact of the matter is you have to prove that this money was drug money and they can't. And I'm sorry but using a dog is not trust worthy, I know from my own ridiculous experience with Lafourche Parish jerk off cops.

Weird, right?
Not really. Cops pull over vehicle and searches because, you know, they can. They find sonething they want and keep it.

All this hubbub and no one in this thread is paying attention. THERE IS MORE TO THE STORY THAN WHAT WAS REPORTED, for crying out loud!
The couple have been charged in Federal court.... Not in Tangi.... Do you understand what I'm saying?

it is relevant
do you not understand precedent?

correct
we disagree if the seizure was justified

obviously because we all know you will never admit you are wrong

It's an opinion. Neither is right or wrong. But I'm just a stupid lazy thieving cop for not having yours (not your words, but from people on your side).
