As much as this subject on the OT is run into the ground as much as “Karen,” I did think about you unoriginal morons today when I saw this woman driving down the interstate.

There were more custom stickers on the side and a picture of her kid on a baseball card on her front license plate.

OTC= Off The Chain

Kept hitting refresh hoping a real travel ball dad in the know would confirm my hunch. Very impressive.

Just curious, do you have kids and do they play sports. How old are they?

I’f they don’t play sports what do they do?

You seem to be very opinionated when it comes to what sports kids play. Just wondering what your experience is.

OTC= Off The Chain

My boys team played in one last year. It was an odd tourney.

They are a pretty good team, but those OTC teams struggled. Seemed to be a lot of rec type teams from small towns. I suppose it coulda been an off weekend.

The woman named her kids Remington and Kensington.....they get what they deserve.

I think I am on your side on this one, but he has a point.

Someone please explain the obsession with travel ball. If you don’t like it why do we need 10,000 repetitive threads?

Good news for Everleigh, she's ready to go with her Diamonds are a Girl's Best-friend shirt to cheer on Memphis.

Someone tell me what OTC means in travel ball lingo. Did some smartass pharmacists label the bad teams “Over the Counter”, while their kids are prescription?

Travel ball parents fit a very specific stereotype and it’s funny as hell.

Not really. I mean how funny is it to repeat the same goofy names? It seems like a lot of people got left off the travel ball team and are trying to compensate

The Phase 1 guidelines stated that outdoor individual and non-contact sports would resume play. If you pull up the live stream from today's press conference JBE refers to this around the 47 minute mark he said the following "The 25% capacity does not apply to non contact sports teams such as baseball, they can field an entire team... It will apply to the fans in the stands, we will have to find ways to spread them out such as throughout the outfield and incorporate ways to minimize player contact."

See above. PC would be proud of his OTC disciple dropping knowledge in here.

Years back I would agree, but I’m a parent and know several more like me that just like to go watch kids play and have fun without all the local political bullshite in local leagues. If we win great, if kids have fun and compete decently, that’s great too. Make our on schedule and have more weekends off with travel than we did in league ball!

Hotels in Sulphur and every other random town with good fields are getting booked up. Better make your reservations now.

I played competitive little league once upon a time. A dozen or so of my friends are travel ball parents.

Still funny

Yes

Yes

And no, he doesn’t play tourney ball. He isn’t ready for that and I’m not against him doing it. He also plays football. He plays basketball. Not at all at the professional level whatsoever.
