So is Jeff Masters retiring or just not writing his analysis blogs anymore? I enjoyed his input on the tropics.

Probably had a nervous breakdown because not everyone buys into his dramatic climate change essays.

Do you post anywhere else, other than TD? I come here for laughs and to threaten to fight people at sonic. I need to mentally segregate actual serious news from all the knuckle checks.

If you post on Reddit or twitter or your own blog somewhere, can you let us know?

Thanks for all this info... you've always been extremely helpful!

I believe rds works for the government, can't remember if he's a meteorologist but he knows his shite.

Geaux is a moderator on gulfcoastwx.com and also knows his shite. These two are the only ones in these threads that I take seriously.

If anyone is ever looking for a good weather forum, I recommend TalkWeather.com and SouthernWX.com. Both are focused on the southeast. SouthernWX has a lot of folks from Georgia and the Carolinas, though.

Not trying to take away from this forum, just offering another place for people who want to read more about weather.

12z GFS is further west with the Gulf system (now 93L) Brings the center in near the Mobile Bay.

Maybe it's gonna keep going west and end up going with the Euro.

The spread on these models are way too far apart for me to get too worried yet.

What kind of intensity do you think we'll see?
Weak tropical system, strong tropical storm, Cat 1?
