He and JBE must've been formulating their attention whore strategy together. JBE was on last night, and now Mitch today.

I'm not, just amused at how quick schools and courts closed for today when we haven't even got rain yet.

The HRRR did a good job predicting this setup last night. Here is the current rainfall projections for the next 18 hours, through 11 PM tonight. Looks like SW LA is the only spot that could get anything significant

Yeah, the HRRR nailed it. That's an impressive model. It nailed last summer's rain well too.

Levi suggested this might happen in his video last night. Storm moves west, starts to stack a little better with that upper low and decouples from the main plume of moisture out of the Caribbean. It slangs off, mostly going toward the panhandle and dry air is able to work into the east side of the system.

The best part of all this? You know beside no major flooding? Peej nailed it. Peej. Weather savant.

He was still touting that 15-20 inches story this morning. I hadn't seen that reported as even a remote possibility from any official outlet.

After August, I am just thankful to have limited rainfall. No one can take more flooding who had already been flooded as recently as then.

Slackster posted the HRRR last night and people told him to not post anymore that he should leave it to the pros. Good job Slack

No doubt. I'm about a week from finally moving back in after some contractor buggary held us up.

It was good to see people take the potential of flooding seriously, even if it was way on the tail of the bell curve of possible outcomes. Understand the worst case scenario, have a plan if it comes, but don't freak out until it's apparent that's what is happening.
