Very cloudy in New Orleans. No wind at all. Incredibly still.

No rain, but the drive in this morning is dangerously windy.

My work just gave us all off tomorrow. They must know something we don't. They said it will get much worse tomorrow in br area.

It's not due to make landfall until tomorrow morning. I have a feeling this isn't over and we will see much more rain later today.

Enjoy the day off, but there's no reason to think Baton Rouge will get much more than it's already seen.

They called it way to soon, but I'm not complaining. The news said they expect less than 3inches after all is said and done.

Doubtful.

Dry air in the mid levels has wrapped in. It's getting sheared to hell still and the moisture plume hasn't moved with it. There isn't much firing from the COC, making it suspect to throw much more banding this way. I would be more surprised if BR got 2"-3" today than I would if BR gets less than a half inch for the remainder of the storm.

So would it be a bad idea for me to move foward with my scheduled inspection trips for work in BR (I would be driving in and out from New Orleans)
